Republicans and Democrats from across the country are calculating and offsetting their carbon footprints through the program that supports renewable energy and carbon sequestration on American farms.

Campaigns offered a chance to put their money where their mouth is, take leadership, and fight global warming through Carbon Offsets

Standard Carbon LLC has launched a program for federal election campaigns to track and eliminate their contribution to climate change by purchasing carbon offsets through the Chicago Climate Exchange. To be certified Carbon Neutral, each candidate must sign a pledge and report its carbon footprint estimate to Standard Carbon for offsetting. The program extends access to the same carbon offsets purchased by the "Green the Capitol" initiative to make official US House business carbon neutral.
