Kathy Dahlkemper, a Democrat candidate for congress in Pennsylvania’s third congressional district has embraced the program. Dahlkemper said, “I felt it was extremely important that my campaign be carbon neutral because it clearly signifies the importance I place on the issue of a cleaner, greener world. I made this pledge early in the race and it resonated with voters. I believe they took this as a sign of my commitment.”
“Voters this year will favor the candidates that go green, and that is good for the planet, good for the voters and good for the campaigns that make an effort to be carbon neutral,” said Standard Carbon Vice President Angela Shea.
