HOW THE LOOP WORKS
Raw biogas (50% to 65% methane) runs through your existing upgrader just as it does today, and pipeline RNG goes to your blend meter. The CO₂ tail gas you vent today is routed to the Carbon Bridge™ plant instead, where it’s combined with hydrogen made from off-peak renewable power (CO₂ + 4H₂ → CH₄ + 2H₂O). The new methane goes right back to your blend meter.
Every mole of CO₂ is a mole of CH₄. Carbon-atom conservation sets the ceiling: 54% more gas at 35% CO₂, double at 50%. At 95% net conversion, a 55/45 tail gas delivers 78% more pipeline methane through your existing meter.
Exothermic heat runs the amine duty. Methanation releases 98% to 142% of the regeneration heat the separation needs. Our patented loop recovers it into thermal storage, so the electrolyzer dispatches against off-peak power while separation runs 24/7 with no purchased steam.
We carry the pathway. E-methane doesn’t inherit your D3 pathway. Standard Carbon files the EPA petition, carries registration and takes that risk. The incremental gas lands at or below your current certified CI, third-party verified.
FLEXIBLE DEAL STRUCTURES
Every plant and every balance sheet is different, so we don’t force one model on anyone. Standard Carbon offers multiple ways to structure your project, so you can set it up the way that works best for you.
- Multiple deal structures to meet your financing needs
- Need financing? We work with multiple lending partners and can help bring capital to the table
- Already have a lender? We’re happy to work with your lending partners
- Your interconnect, offtake and existing pathway stay in place
- Built in phases, sized to your CO₂ stream
Whether you need financing solutions or not, we’re here to help you get to more gas, faster.

WHAT THE NUMBERS LOOK LIKE
Output uplift by feed. The more CO₂ in your raw biogas, the more new methane Carbon Bridge™ can make from it. The chart shows the additional CH₄ available for offtake at each feed composition, from +54% at 65/35 up to +95% at 50/50.
Representative plant: a facility producing 500,000 MMBtu a year of pipeline RNG today adds roughly 390,000 MMBtu a year with Carbon Bridge™, for about 890,000 MMBtu in total. That’s sold through the offtake you already have, at your price.
Basis: 55% CH₄ / 45% CO₂ raw gas, HHV, 95% net conversion. Actual figures are plant-specific.
Building or replacing an upgrader? Our amine train runs on recovered methanation heat with no process compressor. Against membrane separation, before any CO₂ is converted:
- About 90% less purchased electricity
- 85% lower methane slip
